1998 Joined Society of Master Saddlers saddlery course under Mark Romain at Salisbury College.
2001 Achieved Qualification as Society of Master Saddlers “Qualified Saddler and Harness Maker “.
2012 Opened the Jacky Brittain Studio at Hughsrigg Pottery at Canonbie making figurative ceramic sculpture.
Jacky makes figurative sculptures of animals and people, influenced by the countryside and the people of the countryside, past and present in stained and glazed stoneware fired in an oxidized atmosphere to 1260c.
Her figures are individually hand built and sculpted, and convey the gentleness of her subjects. her aim is to express her feelings for them and hopefully influence the viewers feelings towards them also.
